Dr. Pamela Larde is committed to engaging in the work of advancing the reach and commitment of the coaching profession to serve and build up heart-centered leaders around the world. She is the director of education for the Institute of Coaching, associate professor of leadership at Anderson University, and president of the Academy of Creative Coaching. As a dedicated member of the global community, Dr. Larde is intentional about integrating values of belonging, human dignity, justice and care for the whole person into her work. She is also committed to engaging in the continued growth and transformation of the coaching industry through her coach training school, the Academy of Creative Coaching, which she founded in 2013 as the first black female-owned accredited program with the International Coaching Federation.

Dr. Larde holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, a master’s degree in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University, and a Ph.D. in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University. Her research focuses on human dignity and diversity through the lens of the following: invigorative leadership, post-traumatic growth, social & workplace equity, and the practice & science of joy. She is a member of the International Leadership Association, the International Association for Relationship Research, and is a board member for the National Incarceration Association. Additionally, she has written three books, has authored four book chapters, and has established a strong global platform for providing training and development to academic and professional teams in ways that enable them to put theoretical concepts into practice. Her podcast, The Joy Whisperer is an evidence-based educational platform for discussion that covers the practice and science of joy by addressing issues concerning justice, humanity, leadership, and change.
