It’s possible to travel from London Heathrow Airport directly to UEL Docklands Campus via the Elizabeth line from London Heathrow Airport to Canary Wharf station and then onto the DLR to get to UEL Docklands at Cyprus DLR station. London is a very connected city with great public transport. It is not possible to use cash to pay for journeys locally or from the airport. Fares are paid via a pre-loaded smartcard “an oystercard” or a personal contactless bankcard or device. It’s recommended that overseas delegates order a Visitors Oystercard before arrival, which can be purchased from TfL Visitor Shop or VisitBritain Shop. The Visitors Oystercard will be sent to you at your home location. The main benefit of the Visitors Oystercard is that all fares are discounted (approx 50%) and “price capped” so no matter how many journeys you make per day you will not pay more than that price, approx £5.50 per day. The price of a standard Oystercard purchased in the UK is £7 and daily travel is price-capped at approx £12. Use the TfL Go app, downloadable from the Apple or Play Store, to navigate your journeys. Benefits Visitors Oystercard will cap your fares at the best daily price, allowing unlimited travel.- Use your Visitor Oystercard to get to or from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City airports.
